Announcement of 146 New Ambulances

Yesterday, the Nova Scotia Government announced a new contract to lease 146 new ambulances. This is welcome news, however, this does not mean there will be 146 more ambulances in service for Nova Scotians. We would like to remind everyone that extreme cold weather is a dangerous situation that can bring on health emergencies( hypothermia or frostbite) in susceptible people, such as those without shelter or outdoor workers. Call 911 if you or another person is in cold distress.
