Jonathan is from Marion Bridge, Nova Scotia, working as a primary care paramedic in Sydney.

He is currently a valued shop steward and OHS member and enjoys being a paramedic because he gets to help people and make a difference within his community.

Jonathan was previously employed with Ski Ben Eoin as a senior Ski Patroller, level one snowboard instructor (10 years), a previous welder, and a current casual CDMS Atlantic commercial diving and marine services employee.

He is a proud father of two children, Ella Oakley (10) and Kale MacNeil (12) 3 dogs, Suka, Phee and Addy and one cat, Bella. His hobbies include listening to music, playing guitar, writing/recording music, sport shooting/hunting, playing video games, watching movies, and enjoying the outdoors.

Despite having little free time and facing many hardships in his career, Jonathan says, “I know that our efforts and actions make a difference right here in our own backyards,” and that affirmation gives him pride and the motivation to keep going.
