IUOE Local 727 Website & Member Portal Launch / July 31, 2026

Dear Members,

We are excited to announce the launch of the new IUOE Local 727 website and member portal, along with the giveaway of an ASUS V16 Gaming Laptop to one lucky member.

As many of you know, our previous website has been unavailable since July 2025. After a year of planning, development, and testing, we are pleased to provide members with a modern online experience that will make it easier to stay connected with your union and access important information.

While we are excited to launch the new website and member portal, this is an early release. As with any new platform, members may encounter occasional bugs, errors, or features that need adjustment. We view this launch as the beginning of an ongoing process and will continue improving the website over the coming months based on member feedback and operational needs.

Membership Account Balances:

Members with outstanding account balances will have a 60-day grace period following the launch of the new member portal to bring any outstanding invoices up to date or contact the Union Office to discuss an accommodation.

As a reminder, any member who is away from work and is not receiving an EMC paycheque from which 2% union dues are automatically deducted remains responsible for paying their union dues directly to the Union. This requirement has always existed and was reaffirmed by the membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 27, 2022.

Effective November 1, 2025, the minimum monthly union dues payment was changed to $25.00 for all members, regardless of job classification. If the union dues deducted from your pay during any month are less than the required minimum, you are responsible for paying the difference to ensure the monthly minimum dues requirement is met.

During the 60-day grace period, no late fees will be charged, and members will not be moved into bad standing as a result of outstanding balances. We encourage all members to log in, review their account status, and ensure their membership remains in good standing.

If you are unable to pay your outstanding balance before the end of the grace period, please contact the Union Office as soon as possible to discuss payment plan options. We are committed to working with members to help them maintain their good standing whenever possible.

Following the grace period, regular billing and standing policies will once again apply, including the application of late fees and changes to membership standing where applicable.

To access the new Member Portal for the first time, visit the Member Portal Login page and select the “Forgot Password?” link. Enter the email address associated with your Union membership to receive a password reset email. If you have previously provided the Union with a personal email address, try using that first. If you do not receive the password reset email, try your EMCI email address as well, as either email address may be associated with your account. Once you create your new password, you can sign in to the Member Portal.

After logging in, we encourage you to review your profile, verify that your information is up to date, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to help keep your account secure.

If you are still unable to reset your password after trying both your personal and EMCI email addresses, please contact the Union Office by email at

info@iuoe727.ca or by phone at 902-481-0523 for assistance.

For the security of your account and to ensure you continue receiving Union communications, we strongly recommend updating your profile to use a personal email address instead of your EMCI email address

While viewing your Member Profile, you can also:

  • View your Membership Status and Standing
  • Submit and track inquiries you have created
  • View your Dues and Payment Summary
  • Submit digital payments for outstanding balances

After logging in, members will have access to the bright yellow Members

tab, which contains exclusive resources and information, including:

  • Documents
  • Directory
  • Perks
  • FAQ

We also encourage members to explore the public areas of the website to learn more about IUOE Local 727, our services, and the work being done on behalf of our members across Nova Scotia.
